All the tools I use and recommend will be listed here. I’ve found loads of free stuff that will make your life easier - and am in the process of listing it all for you……
Firstly, you will need some FTP software. Personally I use CoreFTP, and highly recommend it. I’ve never had a single problem, and it’s free. Download at http://www.coreftp.com/
You will also need website editing software (unless your an expert in HTML). I use and recommend Kompozer. It’s a free ‘What You See Is What You Get’ (WYSIWYG) editor that’s pretty much as powerful as Dreamweaver or Frontpage. Download at http://kompozer.net/

The hosting company I use and HIGHLY recommend is Hostgator. Their support is incredible, and the prices are hard to beat. Go to http://www.hostgator.com
You should be cloaking all your affiliate links. It looks more professional, and stops affiliate commission theft. The easiest way to do this is to use my free affiliate cloaker. Use the free tool at http://www.cldconnections.co.uk/Link-Cloaker
Microsoft Office is an expensive product. But, thankfully, there is a free tool that does everything you need - including making PDF documents. It’s called OpenOffice, and you can download it free at http://openoffice.org/
For editing web graphics - including PSD files - I use Gimp. It does the majority of things that Photoshop does, but it’s free. I use it all the time, but be warned, it takes some getting used to. Great for editing headers and logos. Download for free at http://www.gimp.org/
DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER! Firefox is ten times better, and more secure. Download it at http://www.mozilla.com. It will become your new best friend!
