Reviews: Blogging to the Bank 3.0
The majority of you will know what a blog is, but many of you will still fail to realise the pure profit you can make…..
Rob Benwell is only a mere 24 years old and has already made several million dollars. Early in 2006 he shared his secrets with the world in his highly successful Blogging To The Bank ebook and has made making money online a whole lot easier for everyone.
Just over two years after the success of his first book, and over 20,000 copies sold, followed by the 2007 2.0 update, he is now releasing his third version of Blogging to the Bank - helping to wet our appetites and keep the fat bucks rolling in.
Business Day 2: Ezine Articles - Keyword Research
Well, it’s certainly been an eventful day so far. It’s now 2pm and I’ve been up since 4am for the ‘day job’. Half way through the flight to Portugal, and we had to turn back home after encountering ‘technical difficulties’.
As soon as the words technical problem are heard, a fair few passengers become alarmed, and even scared. This reminded me of my possible niche subject: Fear of Flying. I spent just over an hour explaining the problem to passengers, and ensuring they felt safe. I do it everyday, so what is there to stop me from doing it via the Internet. Read more
Business Day 1: Working Out Fantasos!
Well, it’s now 1am. I have to be up for work in a little under 3 hours. Oh dear!
Earlier I mentioned that I was going to be digging deeper into the ‘fear of flying’ niche. Unfortunately I didn’t have time as I have spent the entire evening trying to figure out JVM2 Fantasos. Read more
Business Day 1: Getting Started - Planning - Keyword Research
So, day 1……. Already!
I’ve started making preparations for my new Internet marketing business today. I’ve always thought it to be important to be well prepared. Actually, that’s not quite true. There have been a few instances where I have jumped straight into what I thought was a good idea - only to find that it was always doomed to be a complete failure! Read more
Business Starts Tomorrow….
Good evening all….
Well, it’s an exciting time. Tomorrow - Friday 7th November 2008 - sees the start of my business. Tomorrow is the day that I start to really share everything with you, and start my journey to Internet business success.
There will be laughter, there will be tears. There is hard work ahead of me, but I can’t wait. I’m even more excited that I will be sharing everything with you.
That’s right….. Everything!
Just because this blog is about my Internet business does not mean that that is all we will discuss. After all, I feel accountable to you now. So, if there is a day that I don’t get much done, I will give you a reason - and then you can tell me to stop making excuses and get on with it!
It’s 11.55pm here now, and almost time to go to bed. But I’m nervous, and just want to get started now.
Patience Kevin…..
I will be posting everything here. If I make a loss, then you’ll know. If I make a profit, then you’ll know.
Every post will begin with the title “Business Day x:” with a more in depth title following. Sometimes I will post more than once - as and when I think of new ideas, or make some progress worth noting.
I will share everything with you. Did I mention that already?!
Until tomorrow, good bye.
What Have I Done So Far - Part 2
Welcome to the second part of the ‘catch-up’. In this post I’m just going to share with you some products that I have bought, and would like to share with you, plus details of the memberships I pay for.
I’d hate to think how much I’ve actually spent on Internet marketing products in total, but some purchases have been worth it. I have recently purchased Blogging to the Bank by Rob Benwell. I haven’t finished reading it yet, but am impressed so far.
My most extravagant purchase recently has been Jeremy Burns’ SourceCodeGoldmine. It cost me $97 (about £60), but it’s definitely worth it. I now have 10 products that I can repackage, edit, put my name on and sell. I have my own line of products WITHOUT incurring the huge cost of creating them.
I pay for four different monthly memberships. The number 1 (in my opinion) is the Unselfish Marketer Membership. I would recommend this membership to absolutely anyone who runs a business online - or would like to. I wrote my honest review more than a year ago on another blog of mine. To read it, click here. It simply is the best membership site on the Internet.
I also pay for a membership at PLRNewsletters.com, although hardly use the content provided.
The other highly valued membership I pay for is the most expensive one. It’s called Wealthy Affiliate, and it costs me around $29 (£20) per month. The cost is more than worth it for the help available in the active forum, the excellent keyword research tools, Clickbank research and more - including assignments that you work through in order to become a ‘Wealthy Affiliate’.
I don’t actually use the tools made available enough - and must make an effort to. I am paying for them after all!!
I joined the final membership only yesterday. For a pretty decent price I joined The Niche Blogger. On first impressions it looks like money well spent, and think it will teach me some new tricks. Amy certainly promises a great deal - and if she delivers even half then it was a good decision to join.
What I Have Done So Far
Welcome to my blog. If you have read my about me page then you know why I’m writing. If you haven’t, then I recommend you do. Just click on ‘About Me’ at the top of the page.
It’s only fair that I let you all know where I’m at right now. I have been attempting this Internet marketing thing since last year some time (at least seriously anyway!). I have made some income, and am probably in profit by about £20 ($35-40). Not impressive - but I have spent cash, so it’s better than a loss, right?!?!
I have started various sites. Some do not exist anymore, but the first one I ever ‘produced’ was Internet Marketing Success. The site looks completely different to how it used to, and the content is much improved from the early days - but I still have made almost NO money from this site.
This was my first Internet marketing error. I tried to teach people how to make money online BEFORE I had the answers.
The ‘make money online‘ niche is incredibly competitive, and hard to break into - especially if you haven’t actually got the knowledge!!
I still update the site every now and then, but not regularly. I do not believe it’s possible to be amazingly successful in this niche until you have mastered it yourself.
A long period of time was actually spent developing Internet Marketing Success. If only I’d realised sooner I was wasting valuable time!
The second site I set up was this one - not this blog, but the main site. If you go there now you’ll see that I just use it to give away a product for free. But, previously it was a splash/lead capture page. Every guru tells you that you HAVE to build a list, and so I attempted to do so here.
Well, I managed to build a list of about 40 subscribers. They are still there too!
Thirdly - and after seriously considering quitting Internet marketing - I decided to write about something I was passionate about. Sport. CLDsport was born. I have ‘employed’ writers for the site to write some of the content, and have managed to gain a Google Page Rank of 2 for the site.
The main problem I have with this site, is keeping it updated. Sports fans are always searching for the very latest news - minutes after an incident. To keep this site fresh, and current, I’d have to quit my day job (which I cannot afford to do), or hire many more writers (which I cannot afford to do). The site is still promising though, and continues to gain traffic when updated.
Next came Self Improvement Basics. I found myself becoming more and more interested in self improvement (mainly due to my failure to find my fortune on the Internet!), and decided to attempt to build a site on the subject.
The site is very new, and still needs work, but could be a promising one - even though self improvement in itself is not a very highly searched phrase.
Finally, I’d previously purchased the domain name Recommended-Sites.co.uk and thought I’d better do something with it, and so I have installed a Wordpress blog and started to highlight some of my favourite sites. I can’t report successes or failures as I literally haven’t done much with it at all.
Oh, almost forgot, I set up ProNitroBlogger.com only yesterday. More about that tomorrow though.
That concludes the first part of my introduction. Tomorrow I aim to share with you all the memberships I belong to, and any products I have purchased that I truly believe are helping me.
Until then, good bye!
Kevin
What is Blogging?
The Internet plays a huge role in the lives of people on the entire planet; it is the fastest means to communicate with friends on the other side of the world and the richest source of information when you have to research for something. The latest trend and probably the most successful way of expressing oneself via the Internet is the blog. What does blogging actually mean? The whole concept revolves around the personal need to express feelings or thoughts, share opinions, spread news or simply have fun. A blog is actually a small individual web page more like a diary that you keep online; it receives regular updates and allows the use of links, photos, videos and extended documents.
Many people were attracted by the “blogging” phenomenon thanks to the great opportunity of making themselves heard by a specific targeted audience. Blogs are not complex web pages, it entirely depends on what the creator wants to share with the world. When you’ve got great pieces of news, funny links or a hobby to talk about, a blog may be just the right way to open up to an international “community”. Most often, blogs attract more attention than large and well-designed web pages? How is it possible for blogging to have reached such a status?
First of all, blogs generally tackle with one issue of interest for the user; there is fresh and rich informational content, and extended friendly links to other sites or blogs in the domain. It has become common knowledge by now that blogs often receive more traffic than other web pages. Why? The answer lies within the very essence of a search engine structure: what a search engine likes most is fresh and high quality content. This is the main preeminence blogs and the blogging phenomenon has managed to achieve ahead of normal web pages.
If blogging started as the perfect diary online, it has now come to acquire different dimensions, of which the commercial one is the most well-developed. I’ll give you an illustrative example here: let’s say you like gardening, and you’ve also started your own home business of growing plants. A blog on flowers, plants and their peculiarities would meet the requirements of other people who share your hobby, but it would also function as a great promotion tool for the development of your business. Therefore, web marketing and the need to communicate happily meet within the very concept of “blogging”.
